Madness

(Verse)

Hatred.

I don't understand.

Hatred.

I know it's not just me

(Chorus)

Searchin' for some sanity.

Just a little humanity.

Searchin' for some reason

In the madness.

(Verse)

Stoning.

I don't understand.

Stoning.

I know it's not just me

(Chorus)

Searchin' for some sanity.

Just a little humanity.

Searchin' for some reason

In the madness.

(Verse)

Beheading.

I don't understand.

Beheading.

I know it's not just me

(Chorus)

Searchin' for some sanity.

Just a little humanity.

Searchin' for some reason

In the madness.

(Bridge)

Maxed out, can't get no worse.

Stop the spell, time to change the curse.

Free-fall, pulled out all the stops.

Now we hit rock bottom,

Let's shift into reverse.

(Chorus)

Searchin' for some sanity.

Just a little humanity.

Searchin' for some reason

In the madness.

You pulled out all the stops and told how it is. There is no good rhyme or reason for all the insanity. We run from it, dodge it, hide from it, ignore it, suffer from it or because of it.  And no matter sanity won or lost, there's always some cost.  In my openion, right or wrong, I think this song was written well enough to have very good potential as a Heave Metal song.  Very well done Larry.  Good luck with it, you deserve it.

Larry awesome write full of potent emotional imagery, really power!

Yep, we all lose the sanity and tranquility at times. It's quite ok to have

a wobble now and then Happy Just as long as we find it again and come back

A long time friend of mines mother suffering from Alzheimers recently responded

to my question on how she was by saying "I'm alright, it's just everybody else thats not!" LOL

Pretty much sums it up hehehe

Hi Larry,

I think the conciseness of the lyric adds to the mood of trying to make sense of the world idea you have going here and it's very effective.

It would be very interesting to hear how the emotions from a singer would play into it all. The subject matter is devastating...but I think many can relate to the search for understanding....so it's very universal as well.

I like the way you combine the horriffic "beheadings" and follow with a casual "just not me" I think it makes you pay attention more
