Well MAB, I deliberately chose that week so I could AVOID tin pan south. I just don't want to deal with the crowd. I realize I could "go see" some great writer shows. But, that's just it. I would just "go see". I want to go "be part of". I don't need the Tin Pan South week to do that. I have decided my musical journey will never go any further than me being a small part of the scene. I can come up there and be part of that any time. I am very appreciative of Janet allowing me to be part of her writers night. But I'm perfectly content to come up and just play open mics. Just the chance to mingle with other writers that can appreciate original music more than it is here.
I'm not too concerned about Bobby's idol hour yet. I still have faith it will be kept as a landmark. But I do appreciate the heads up about Richards in Franklin. I guess I should contact Gary and find out what is going on there. If not there, Barbara still has her open mic on Tuesday nights. But I guess all of this is part to the problem making plans so far in advance. Any one or all of those places could be gone by March 13. HAVE FAITH!!
I'll keep in touch as time gets closer. OD has hinted he may even come down. We'll see.
