Hey Phil,

Yes, we will be there on Thursday. We usually get in mid afternoon, and then most of the time, get together with friends, at Mikey's for dinner. I rarely do anything on Thursday's as we're always pretty worn from the drive. And usually we've had pretty full days and evenings the night before. I usually don't even make check in at the Bama till Fiday. First day is usually settling in, grocery shopping, etc.

This trip I have to make a stop in Birmingham to visit my Mother's house and make sure things are okay there. She passed away July 4th, so I have to check on things every time I pass through.
In Alabama, you have to wait 180 days before you can start dispersing benefits, sell houses, or anything, so it will be December before I can legally do much of anything. Actually you are not even supposed to take anything out of the house, furniture, etc. even if you are giving to relatives, because anything could be an asset and if there were any liens, etc, they would have to be attached.
There is a still a lot of stuff there, clothes, pictures, momentos, furniture, etc. Although I am setting up to let Logan and family members have a lot of it.

So while we will get in on Thursday, you probably won't see us out till Friday. Usually they have Jimbeau and I pretty booked up. We normally have Friday, Saturday and Sunday shows and Jimbeau usually takes a break for a couple of days. I normally play Monday, then hopefully we will have the TWISTED CHRISTMAS show with Randy Brooks, on Wed. Then Jimbeau and I usually pick back up on Thursday, play Friday and most of the time an early show on Saturday. We normally drive home after that.

I usually go on the FBSIF web site, check my schedule about two weeks before, and put it on Facebook and my own sites. Even then, they often change, and I'll get down there and find they have moved me around. So I'm just flexible. You have to be on this.

OD is usually back and forth until the First Friday. Then he makes his decision. This year I doubt hell come down, but he knows he can stay with us always. He;s been going through some medical issues and I think this year he has other things he wants to get done. His birthday was yesterday. He is 66.

So that is the update for now. Will let you know when I know something.
