ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Hey folks, thought I'd try to get some conversation reinvigerated here. When it gets football season, I like to pull put a couple of my football songs, to demonstrate some of the things I do in my career. My job is to TEACH songwriting BY EXAMPLE AND DOING. I do it with my "WRITE UP" songwriting lessons, and try to SHOW people directions they can take their songs. This is one example.
Her version was really COMPLAINING about the situation and since I don't do negative, I felt there could be a much more interesting and fun way to approach the subject. Since at the same time, a lot of my friends were doing the FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM thing, I put the two together and took it in the direction of the wife using her "special skills" to keep the husband interested.
A while after we wrote and recorded a demo on it she made a connection which took her to THE SOUTHERN SIRENS, which are a three piece all female group out of LOUISVILLE KY. I think they did a great video and job on the song. Hope you like it.

STACY YOUNG, is a woman out of KANSAS CITY MO. Where she was for years a SUGAR BROKER. Actually a "SUGAR MAMA!!!" LOL! She worked the part well, being VERY ATTRACTIVE and could really get people to buy sugar, selling to large companies, resturants, etc. She would combine work and pleasure, with making trips into Nashville. This was up until she got into a wreck which hurt her back and had to take time to heal.
But one of her trips we were working on songs and she wanted to write something about "husbands who completely ignore their wives during football season.
