Well OD, that is [almost] much better than I could tell the story! Thanks for the posts, and great recapping of the Thursday night show.
HOWEVER, if you're going to tell the story about, "I know where it is. I just don't know how to get there", at least get it right! First, the statement is perfectly legitimate. Do you know where the Empire State Building is? Have you ever been there, and do you know how to get there? ANYWAY, back to the story. It was FRIDAY afternoon, and we were sitting in the dining room at the house, trying to figure out how to get to 3rd and Lindsley for dinner with MAB and Tina that night. What I was trying to tell you was, I didn't know how to get there off of I40. The only time I had ever been there was coming down from Broadway on 3rd. I was not sure how to get there off of I40. Turns out, it wasn't that difficult at all. And, we actually got there early enough to get decent "free" parking in a public works parking lot.
Friday night was a great night also. The opening act still had about 20 minutes left when we got there, and they were pretty good. The featured act, (something vinyl?) was just awesome! They were going to play a 3 hour gig with no breaks! They played 60's and 70's tunes. Brought back a lot of memories!
