Thread: MAB Q&A
OD OldDog

Okay, I have a few beers left so I will continue telling my story of my most recent Nashville trip.  On Friday morning after the fabulous Thursday Night MAB Birthday Bash, we got up early and traveled across town to meet Mab and his friends for breakfast.  Once we left there MAB put us in his new vehicle and drove us to the Nahville's "Mucians Hall Of Fame" and later took us to Morelli's his favorite Restaurant.   WHOA, STOP, WAIT RIGHT HERE.  Did any of you hear me, I said MAB took us to the Musicians Hall Of Fame and to his favorite restaurant Morelli's.  I hate to repeat myself again, as I have over the past several years; but how many of the Pro writers offering seminars and workshops offer to give the personal attention MAB does???   Note however, MAB just happen to have an opening in his schedule but he was willing to share his time with us.  I'll just say this on that matter, I've attending many seminar's and workshops by former "hit" songwriters; but after their workshops were over,  I never hear from them again until they held another workshop and invited me and others to attend once again for another fee of course.  Oh Well, so it is.

That Friday evening MAB invited us to join him and Tina to a show at 3rd and Lindsey's to hear a great group of Nashville studio musicians performing older classic Pop and Rock songs.  They were fantastic and performed the older songs so well; but after a couple of hours we were ready to leave and move on.  I hate to admit I left my credit card on the table and I didn't discover my mistake until traveling home and stopping for gas.   The next day I called my credit card company and went over the charges which were all mine.  We stopped any future charges and they will send me a new card with a new account number soon.  I'm sure the waitress turned my card in after we left and no attempt to make further charges were made (God bless her for that).  However; it was easier for me to cancel that card and request a new one, since I lived so far away from Nashville and it was not easy for me to stop my and pick my card up.

Saturday, the last day of our trip, we were all pretty worn out and chose to take it easy.  We enjoyed our coffee that morning and we knew MAB had flown out that day for a Tour with some friends to perform on the East  Coast.  Us old guys each took a nap in the afternoon and gathered for some drinks on the back deck that evening.   We  then packed our things and prepared to leave early the next morning.  It was a great trip and a great time for me to hang out  with my buddies KevMo and Philboy.

Thanks to MAB for taking the time to hang out with us and show us around Nashville the way he did.   Thanks also to KevMo and Philboy for putting up wih the Old Dog.  It was truly a great trip indeed.
