Holy Crap, I just made a beer run and half of them are gone already. I'm going to have to install security camera's because I swear my neighbor is sneaking into my house and drinking my beer while I'm upstairs on the computer. That bastard, I really like the guy but if I have video of him stealing my beer and can sue for reperations and make him open an account at my buddy Russell's Drive Thur. (hiccup.... sorry about that), that would solve everything.
Okay, were was I with my story. Okay, it's Thursday and the boys and I begin our morning with KevMo working on his laptop while Philboy and I traveled across town to meet MAB and his friends at a breakfast hangout they enjoy. I have to say these folks were very entertaining and a lot of fun to be around with all of their stories. There were many characters with many stories to include an old guy that once played bass guitar for Sonny James (MAB did I get that name right)??? Anyway they all had interesting stories and the main character was MAB's neighbor Furman (Oh MAB, did I get that name right)??? Anyway, Philboy really enjoyed himself and so did I. The next morning we met back with them again and took KevMo with us this time. We all enjoyed our vistit with them.
I hate to admit I don't recall what we did on Thursday afternoon; but I'd suggest we went back to the house to allow the guys to rehearse their songs while the Old Dog took a long over due nap. Later in the late afternoon we made our way back to Bobby's Idol Hour for the MAB Birthday Bash. The boys went on early and did a great job even though Philboy had a moment he forgot his lyrics but he came out of it in good form. MAB took the stage just after 8:00pm and the night was on.
A quick background story behind that evening. MAB's friend, performing artist, and hit songwriter Jimbeau Hinson showed up at the club around 6:30. This was unlike Jimbeau to show up so early and he even made the trip on his own leaving his wife Brenda behind because she wasn't able to be ready in time (Brenda showed up later driving a seperate vehicle). The reason Jimbeau showed up so early is because he read on an internet advertisement for the evening that KevMo would be performing. Well Jimbeau had no idea I had been calling our friend Kevin Emmerich "KevMo" for years. Jimbeau thought the famous performer "KebMO" was going to perform, so he showed up early not to miss his show. Jimbeau was so disappointed to learn of his mistake but it was a great moment of laughter for the rest of us.
Okay, I'll do my best to describe MAB's show but I'll need to make another post. At this point I would really like to take a break and get a bite to eat but S.O.B. if I stop now MAB would really be upset if I stop to eat and pass out in my lazyboy. I'll try my best to continue (hiccup).
