Hey Phil and OD,
Now understand that my plans always develop the closer we get to the festival. They almost ALWAYS have some cancellation that they need filled and try to pull me in on playing on Thursday night. But I really don't want to do that, because we get down, relax and usually see a show somewhere. We usually have several people all getting in at around the same times, Susie, Tommy, Larry and Beckett, Jalinda and Charles, and usually a few other all tend to arrive and I have to be around to get them in. Some, like Dani Jamerson will usually stay with me, and I often have tour days set up and they might stay with me as well. OD probably remembers Liz Moriando who rode down with him one year. We all ended up writing that year. There Was a Guy.
So while I am usually there on the first night (which is normally LOCALS night) I rarely perform. If they had something they really needed, like the FLORABAMA MAIN room, I might take it. But other than that, it is difficult for me to drive down, and then go to performing. I no longer do that.
One year I drove down, played two times the first night, and then were doing two a day for most of the entire time. I played 14 times over the 10 days. I am sort of an odd duck at Frank Brown because I am known for three things.
I'm From Alabama, and many of the people I went to school with, knew me in my rock band days, or have known me down there, so I am considered a "REGIONAL artist."
Then, I played for ten years, almost once a month at most of the clubs in that area, so I am considered a LOCAL ARTIST.

Venues request me, and often they have to resist booking me in multiple venues AT THE SAME TIME. They once booked me in Mobile AND PENSECOLA at the SAME TIME! I ended up doing the Pensecola one and then filled in for a host at the Florabama. I also do things that are NOT WITH THE FESTIVAL. I do private parties and events that are for other organization. Last year was an RV park that hired me and another singer, for their own show. That was not Festival organized.
So you guys go ahead and book around me. You'll find me down there. I'll be at the Ragatta, probably room 301 or 201. I'm generally in the same room. Pam, the manager, loves me. She is Greg Crowe's cousin.
