Yes of course I am in Texas!! lol. I understand and agree with everything each of you said. I am in a small town and have relationships with some of the radio stations. I do think that they would play a song from a hometown person. They are very much a hometown proud town.

The only reason I want to do it is to do everything I can to make contacts. I am hoping to reach more artists and co-writers by getting some of my work heard. I am trying to touch all the bases to make contacts so that I can do more co-writes.

I am every day doing what I can to get better and find people to write with. It doesn't always turn out. Sometimes you give lyrics you really like to someone and it doesn't turn out the way you planned. Meaning several things. One case, my ideas were taken and the person made changes and wrote a song of their own. Another case music was added and a terrible video made that can't be used to promote the song and they are not available to make something else. There are other examples. I am waiting right now to hear back from someone I sent lyrics to 2 weeks ago. We were trying to write in emails until a certain point when I would travel and be with them in person.  etc. etc. etc. Not all of the contacts work out. I have had one very successful cowrite that we have two really good songs together.

There is a songwriting workshop on the 23rd in our town I will be attending. I am very hopeful to make local contacts there. This will be my third workshop. The other two were in Dallas.
