Well guys, I'm just about as guilty as anyone else when it comes to participating on this or any site. I usually just don't have anything to say, or add. And, as far as this site is concerned, I've all but quit writing anyway. And I don't get involved with any of the other forums or the open mic.
I have decide I don't really "play" guitar at all. I just bang out a few chords. But, I want to learn to actually play guitar. To that end, I've been studying other folks like Thom Bresh and Tommy Emanuel, and a few blues sites and a some theory sites. I even bought a new Epiphone Casino, thin hollow body electric for playing blues and jazz. I want to learn more cover tunes on both my acoustic and my electric. That's where I'm spending most of my time for now. Still working on playing a few of my original songs so I can play them in Nashville next month. Then, I will keep current on a few of them for the Frank Brown festival in November. But I don't have anything new I'm ready to work on.
