just had a look at the lyric sheet for the Luke Bryan song,
It was Interesting second verse which I didn’t find as strong as the first necessarily but he included a triplet rhyme to maintain /strengthen it,
In V1 he has a AABCCB perfect rhyme structure then in V2 he maintains this sort of with a variation of AAB (C)CCB but the rhymes are not all perfect
Includes ‘Mercury’ on L2 to go with “Me’ and ‘Tree’
“Buzz’ and ‘backing up’
‘Two stroke’ and ‘Go’
Works so much better than all perfect rhyme in my opinion – after the VCVC of country writing the short chorus/ refrains with additions are 101 POP structures, sort of shows where it’s all headed LOL
