The post is right above you Justin. It is not about BREAKING an artist. It is about BUILDING an artist. Too many people are so concerned about BREAKING an artist, they are never concerned with BUILDING one. So they get vapid, sound like everyone else, look like everyone else artists doing mediocre versions of the really mediocre product that is already out there. And the SALES FIGURES reflect it.
There are more and more artists out there, more and more songs out there, and less and less money coming in for any of it. So before anyone wants to try and BREAK SOMEONE, they better make sure they have something WORTH BREAKING. Or they will GO BROKE!!!! Drive the streets of Nashville and see the signs, "FOR LEASE" FOR SALE" AND FOR RENT." those people used to try and break things too. Only ended up breaking their bank accounts.
