About four years ago, this six foot six, long haired rap producer came into Nashville and started infecting everyone with his West Coast hijinks and destroying our music. He looked somewhat like that rap producer Rick Rubin, and is the one who destroyed our world! LOL!
When you were talking about this years ago i told you I thought it would be a mistake for Nashville to go in that direction. I knew it was going to be a bunch of "white guys trying to be street," and looking as stupid as Vanilla Ice and all those total idiots trying to think some bling and a grill would increase their record sales,
Their target audience is all these idiot white kids who are guilty for being white and think they can get into "safe rap" witbout realizing that there IS NO SAFE RAP. The very definition of Rap is challenging athority and living on the edge of society mores.
My problem with it is that it all sounds alike, is all as sophomoric as it can be, to make enough rhymes to make it work sounds like a Dr. Dre Suess book, and diminishes the singabilty and story telling ability. It SUCKS!
But yes, it is a band wagon. And all these kids, the artists, players, etc. all have greown up with a steady diet of bad rap and now they think they can do it. it is like the cassette days, one bad dub after another bad dub. And all ending up what we always said it would be when you mixed COUNTRY with RAP.
