Gary Orphey

I'm just a guy with his feet dangling off the edge of the planet into the universe. I thought you should know a bit about this guy.

I’m a runaway under the North Star. A dreamer of great, relentless dreams that seem to take over my head like the stars take over the sky at night. A lifetime creative my career as an artist covered fine art, matte painter, commercial illustration, design, and advertising art. I have traveled the roads least followed, stumbling stone to stone writing the stageplay of my life as I went along. I managed my sister early in her singing career in northern California in the sixties. My Father was a lifetime performing musician who played upright Bass and Guitar. I had an overwhelming urge to write songs as an outshoot of my lifetime love affair with poetry and writing in general.

And so here I am on the Ramp the songwriting site with the nicest group of people I have yet to meet on the web and looking forward to helping as a moderator and hoping you musical types out there will make all the forums on the Ramp SING!

Thanks for the opportunity!

Hey Gwyneth, thanks for the rah-rah welcome and the super words about what I do. You are very special to me as a friend as you well know. I look forward to our chats regarding all that is weird, wonderful and slightly goofy in this world and always looking to your next write. You are as I would say, "Far reaching and cool!"
