Please excuse me for my bad habits
I can't help my bad habits
These things they wreck me
These things they hex me
Keep me coming back
until I'm all torn up
Ya I'm all blacked out

There ain't no heaven where I go
But it ain't no hell either
Its just a place for desire
A place for escape

You want to help me
You want to be my bad habit
You can be my bad habit
As long as i get to keep my old ones

Cause I can't help my bad habits
Please excuse me for my bad habits
I don't even notice them
I just endulge them

Don't push me away
I know you ain't gonna stay
But don't leave me
Don't leave me yet
Cause you could be a bad habit
That's what I like about ya

Excuse me for my bad habits!
Excuse me for my bad habits!
(repeat as many times as you feel)

no that's great info! I appreciate it. my songs always come out in raw form straight from the old think tank to my phone. in my more recent songs I've tried to make them a little more organized but I'm still learning. Any tips for this song?

Hi Charles

I'm liking what you've started with. Yes, it needs some tweaking and a chorus  to get it singable but that's what constructive crit

is all about. Suggestions and help from the songwriters here. So just playing around a bit with your start, viz;-

Please excuse my bad habits
I can't seem to control them
All they do is wreck me
All they do is they hex me
I keep on  coming back
lose control things go black

There ain't no heaven where I go
It's not hell  either so you know
Its just a place for my desire
Its my escape, can you relate?

Hey Charles, if you want to make a run at this 'bad habits' idea and making it a song that will work move it to the Writers Room and look for a collaboration or some hot tips on what to do with it. You might ne surprised.

My two cents of a book on songwriting is Charles Murphy's Laws of Songwriting. A no nonsense look at the business (It is a business) and craft of writing (it is a learned craft) great songs.for people who want to chart or just be a damn good writer.

Hi Charles,

Well, life is what it are. And, people are what they is. And who's to say that what you're doing is a bad habit? If it doesn't affect others and you like it, keeps you intertained, keeps you from going insane, well have at it. I love my bad habbits, and they love me, yippie!

This is awesome Charles, way ta go.
