Fly Free

She seems so like a child, letting dreams run wild
Then the woman she can be takes a hold of me
But what can I say to make her stay
When she slides from my caress and then glides out to sea?

Shes riding on the wind, she has no reason to rest
A light zephyr breeze, in a celestial sky 
I cant match a meteor in flight, 
Cant catch the starlight so why do I try? 

She must fly free
But must she fly away from me?

Sometimes when she is near, and I feel no fear
Its then I realise my waking eyes dont see
That theres nothing I would say to make her stay
Its her spirit that I love, and I want her to be free

She must fly free
I must see her fly from me

I wont ask her to change, shes who she wants to be
No need to rearrange a rhyme so sweet
And so for one more time, though I know she must leave
Ill let her weave her spell, and then be dust beneath her feet
