Just remembering an old friend today:

I wrote this for my Friend Larry, Roger L. Connor, Jr. to make him smile in October 2008--he was hospitalized for a stroke.  He died January 3rd, 2009 at age 59. He will be missed.  Of course my poor singing is part of what made him laugh...

Connor. Roger “Larry” Connor, Jr. 59, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away January 3, 2009 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born September 15, 1949, in Logan, Ohio.


Loving husband, father of seven, friend, trusted attorney, confidant, and true gentleman. Larry lived with grace, courage, and wit to the very end. He will be deeply missed by friends, family, business associates, and loved ones.


Preceded in death by brother, Daniel (Danny) E. Connor. Survived by his loving wife of 30 years-Margie; seven children - Erin(Jason) Moorman; Kelly Connor, Roger Connor (U.S. Army), Molly Connor, Megan Connor, Shawn Connor and Kerry Connor; two grandchildren (Grace and Danielle, Moorman); parents Roger and Hannah Connor of Naples, FL; brother-Michael Connor; sisters-Barb (Tim) Hickey; Trish (Bill) Gianakopoulos; Kathy (Mike) Reinertsen; Mary (Jeff) Nappi; Hannah (Roger) Moore; and a plethora of nieces and nephews.


Graduated from The Ohio State University in 1971 with a BA in History. Graduated from Capitol University with a JD and admitted to the practice of law in 1976. Served as a medical technician in the Army Reserves. Specialized in real estate law and worked in the title insurance industry for over 40 years.


Received lifetime achievement award from the Ohio Land Title Association in 2004. Avid reader, gamer, history buff, optimistic and oft-disappointed Cleveland Browns fan and intense OSU alumni/fan.


Calling hours at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH. Wed., Jan. 7th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.


Mass at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, OH on Thurs., Jan. 8th at 10 am, followed by burial at Glen Rest Cemetery.
