This is a collaboration between Wyatt Lamoureux and myself. I wrote this song and found myself having troubles with the lyrics. I asked Wyatt if he could help. I scrubbed my lyrics but asked Wyatt to keep the same idea and feeling for the new lyrics. I needed to hear his take on the melody and phasing so after listening to his demo vocal only, I felt It would best be suited for his vocal.
lyrics and vocal by Wyatt Lamoureux
music composed by Robert Hall

lyrics
It's all still the same, nothing has changed
main street still needs a grocery store
the clock tower's broken just like before
the welcome sign is still hangin on her door
and she's still a beautie, will she see thru me
I sit on a bench, across the street in the park
I didnt call to tell her I was comin to town
I wish I could rewind, am I still on her mind
oh if I could only convince myself I'm home
I would walk right thru that door and settle down
It's all still the same, nothing has changed
She still shows up for coffee and a home cooked meal
She still is now and always has been my ideal
She doesnt know just how I feel
I'm walkin cross the street now, the sweat drips from my brow
oh if I could only convince myself I'm home
I would walk right thru that door and settle down
I still love the foot loose and fancy free
I havent figured out who I want to be
I still melt when her eyes look at me
Dear God, you made heaven, Will I be forgiven
oh if I could only convince myself I'm home
I would walk right thru that door and settle down
