Hear Us When We Say, Amen

This is a sung prayer with a beat. Not your standard song format. One Sunday afternoon I closed my eyes and this came out almost as you hear it. That evening I went to church and all of the readings contained ideas from the song. It was the feast of Chorpus Christi. Scared me straight. Praise God!

You gave us this bread and said it was Your Body
A drink from the wine reminds us that it is Your Precious Blood
In communion with your Holy Spirit
We are all united in Your Love

Oh, Lord we believe 
that if we fall down on our knees
that we may still receive the gift of Heaven

Please guide us through this life
that's filled with earthly strife
and lead us every day
Oh Lord tonight we pray that You'll
Hear us when we say, Hear us when we say, 
You'll hear us when we say, Amen
