This is pretty much it in a nutshell.The only thing I couldn't work in was the reason I first learned to play upside down all those years ago. It was because the music teacher started playing with my leg.
I did manage to work my prostate gland into it,so that probably makes up for it.
,It just seems like yesterday
When the Byrds and the Beatles played
And the future seemed a million miles away
I was just your average teen.the girls just never seemed to see
So I decided rocknroll might save the day
Ah but that was then and this is now
I'd go back again and i will somehow
Well the souh-paw's curse was mine
left-handed guitars were hard to find
But there was only one guitar that caught me eye
It was the only one in town..solid green, what a sound
So I bought mean green and I turned her upside down
And she sounded pretty good to me,when i tuned her to an open E
In a couple months it was time to form a band
And though we'd struggle through the songs
And mostly played the chords all wrong
It was clear the GIRLS began to understand
Well I'm older now than ancient Greece
but when i pick up my guitar
I realize there's still a chance..to be a nursing home rock star
I tune her up,drift back in time,plug her in
Before you know I'm 17 years old again..once again,I'm young again
with my best friends
Yeah I'm back again,don't ask me how
That was then and then is now
You know it might be time to quit
It hurts to stand it hurts to sit
At least half the time I'm sure I've lost my mind
Why do I play at this old age?
It's way past time to turn the page
But it's the only way i know I can turn back time
And it feels like deja vue again when we all begin to tune
in a few more years I'll have to quit the band
But i know a million songs my friend and the future comes too soon
They'll be years to contemplate my prostate gland
Well, I'm older now than Ancient Greece
but when I pick up my sitar
I realize there's still a chance to play like

I tune her up drift back in time and plug her in
