Tim Frazier songs

Ok,I have posted a few songs recently and absolutely have to post this one.
If you click on the link that I posted on my homepage, you will see a picture of some kids in blue coats, white turtlenecks and high black boots. That pic was taken in 1970(I believe). The band was called the Shades Of Blue, and I was a member of the band.
My girlfriend at the time,(who became my wife, whom I still love and am married to, to this day)decided that she was going to go away to airline school and become a stewardess.Needless to say,I was not too happy,so about a week after she left I wrote this song and we recorded it.It made the top of the local charts for several weeks.Must have worked, because she came back and we were married.
I no longer even own a 45 of the song, but this Christmas, my son who lives in St.Louis, came home and one of the presents I opened up contained a CD titled,"Psychedelic States".
He found it surfing the internet and this edition was comprised of 25 songs from various bands that were popular in the 60's and early 70's.Lo and behold this song was on the CD.Essentially my son paid 20 bucks for a song that I had written and recorded when I was a kid.LOL.This is,of course, a mono recording.Hope you like it.It is a strange feeling listening to it....
I had a buddy who sent me an old archived MTV video of Danny Odum, who is one of my best friends, singing a Head East song.He became lead singer for Head East and is the high vocalist on the song "Mirage", that I posted. It was somewhat akin to seeing a ghost.Sort of get the same feeling when I heard this song after all of these years.
I hope I don't get sued for posting a song that is mine.LOL.
Written by Tim Frazier, performed by The Shades Of Blue.
Bass Guitar and lead vocals..Tim Frazier
Lead guitar and background vocals..Chuck Olmstead
Drums..Rick Miller
Rythm guitar...Cloyd Shank
Well I'm sitting here with nothing to do
Hadn't even thought of writing to you
Maybe you think that I'm missin' you..Don't ya'?
I messed around at the hangout today..nobody there had too much to say,bet you'll think I'm sad now that you went away, won't ya'?
Chorus
I'm having the time of my life since you've been gone.
Don't worry your head about me,I'm having fun.
I went to a dance last Saturday night
The band that was playing just didn't sound right
I left kind of early...but not cause I thought you might call me
I didn't do all that much today..had to sit through three hours of my sister's ballet..I ain't gonna say what you want me to say...that I miss you.
Chorus
I'm having the time of my life, don't you worry...don't care if you don't want to write, there's no hurry.
I'm having the time of my life since you've been gone..
Don't worry your head about me,I'm having fun..
I'd date other girls if I just had the time, don't think you're the only girl on my mind.......by now you can probably tell that I'm lying to you.
I don't miss you girl...but I sure wish that you would write,
I don't miss you girl....won't you please, please call me tonight?
