Hi Folks
Here’s a song that I posted couple of months ago as an instrumental tune.
This time, thanks to my new singer Yvonne Keller (singer, songwriter), I’m able to repost it again.
Originally this song was called SONG X and it was considered as an experiment with pro tools.
To my surprise Yvonne was able to write lyrics and the melody and here we are.
This tune is dedicated to the memory of the fallen war heroes and their families.
I hope you’ll enjoy it.

Verse 1
Suma cum laude graduation day
He’s on the senior float his daddy’s overjoyed
But duty called
His parents are afraid their heart’s in their throat he’s been deployed
News Clip 2
Verse 2
Just last year he was wearing a tux,
Another acned kid on his way to his prom
Now wearing fatigues in a motor T truck
Will he be the next victim of a roadside bomb
Bridge
His war mother kneels and prays for her son
Towards heaven she silently pleads
Numb to the pain of her calloused fingers
From her baby blue rosary beads
She fears the day she hears a knock on the door
Dreading what will be announced
That her son gave his life half way 'round the world
In a region she can’t even pronounce

Verse 3
Wisdom says you never ever send a child
To be a bullet barricade in a foreign land
Flag draped caskets laid in rank and file
Prove this again and again and again and again
