I had been playing the two main progressions/riffs in this song separately for a long timejust messing around or using for jams, or warm-ups but never really used either one in a song.  Mainly because they were in two different keys and I didnt want to change the key of either cuz of the open strings played in both (if that makes any sense???).  So, one afternoon I just decided to try and put them into one song and just have a key change. Duh.lol!!

The lyric is kind of a hybrd as well.  I had a full set of lyrics for this song, but they were REALLY dark and forboding and could never get happy with them.  So the lovely Trudi whipped out an unfinished lyric that she thought might fit in somehow.  And boy did it ever!!  Her words fit right into the verses and all I saved from my gloomy set was the chorusand the title.

And get a load of my friend Alan (Cathead77) on the vocals here.  Completely different for him!  Also, creative and right on target for the song!  The improvs and harmonies at the end are definitely worth investing the 5  minutes to hear. And we all know, Rob (RJC) always shines on anything hes involved in, so it comes as no surprise that he TOTALLY  rocks out the instrumental break.   

Anyway, its been quite awhile since I posted a straight up Rock song, but this one I think fills the bill quite nicely.  As always, thanks so much for the listens!!  Peace!!
