This volume contains all my song collabs from the archive Songramp site, up until July 2014
This song was brought into being by Tony (teecee) Charnock...and I wrote a lyric for his music.
Tony posted his vocal version on his page...asking for a vocalist.....
...and along came BOB! LOL
Bob Graham took up the project and this is his unique version...also to be found on his page.
...and here is what Bob had to say....
Sometimes I hear songs in "Open Mic" that just jump out at me. This is one of them. Thanks to Tony (teecee) and Diane (beeswing) for letting me tinker with their version just a bit. I hope you like my take on their tune. Tony did all the music and Diane wrote most of the words. I just adjusted some words to flow better for my "singing" and this is the result.
"YOUR PHOTOGRAPH"
Lyrics ? Diane Rulliere 2006
Lyric "adjustments" ? bobgraham 2006
Music ? Tony Charnock 2006
(VERSE 1)
I can still see you now, with your rosy cheeks glowing,
All those patches on, your faded blue jeans,
Rows of rainbow beads and your auburn hair flowing,
Your eyes, that teasing shade of green,
(CHORUS)
As I sit and smile at your photograph, (your photograph)
I'm captive to the sight
I can hear your laugh and feel the warmth of your colours,
Even though this photo's only black and white,
(VERSE 2 /Instrumental)
(CHORUS)
As I sit and smile at your photograph, (your photograph),
I'm captive to the sight,
I can hear your laugh and feel the warmth of your colours,
Even though this photo's only black and white,
(BRIDGE)
Everybody's always told me,
That a camera's never wrong,
But you're smile is etched into my memory,
No matter how long you've been gone,
(VERSE 3)
To me your emerald eyes will always be smiling,
And the promise we made still has a chance to come true,
I know this picture won't fade cause the sun will keep shining,
And the sky will be forever blue,
(CHORUS)
As I sit and smile at your photograph, (your photograph)
I'm captive to the sight,
I can hear your laugh and feel the warmth of your colours,
Even though this photo's only black and white.
