This song was my first-ever collab on Songramp in March 2005. I asked Beeswing if I could take a look at the lyrics in her private listening room, and she gave me permission to do so. I had never taken someone's words and put them to music before. I decided to challenge myself and see if I could do it. It was my great good fortune to find this beautiful lyric and it inspired me. I sat down at the piano late one Saturday night and the melody came into my head almost immediately. I then stayed up all night working it out on the piano and recording a simple piano/vocal demo which I sent to Diane in the morning. It was a Sunday morning. Diane loved it and we posted it on her page. Subsequently Jules heard it and said she would love to sing the song to my piano, which we later did and Jules posted a very beautiful female vocal version on her page. Then we forgot about it for two years, although every so often the song would come up in sporadic emails between us, and the common theme was, this song is crying out to be sung as a male/female duet. But, for whatever reason, the song was never done as a male/female duet, until I had the great honor of doing it live on stage with Jules at Rampbash 2008. And then we were invited to record the duet the following Saturday afternoon at Chigger Tracks studio with Sid Chigger doing the recording. We recorded it live, first take. Recording this song at the Creek with Jules and Sid will always be a very special memory for me. It will always remind me of the magical time I spent with my Songramp family and friends at my first-ever Rampbash. It was an experience I will never, ever forget and will always hold dear to my heart. Thank you my Songramp friends, for once again reminding me that what matters in life is family, friends, and keeping the music alive  I love you guys!
