MAN of the HOUR

Dave Rice's Original songs
I miss the days when we practically had to push and shove to get our songs tacked up on the "Open Mic" before someone else "beat us to the punch."  I've been waiting for someone to post a song so it won't look like I'm a
Ramp-Hog.  Unfortunately, it looks like I'm the only "old hand" here and I promised Eddie I would post a few songs to liven things up a bit.

So, at the risk of looking like a "newbie"... this will be "three in a row" for the old Geezer from Glen Rose.  Sorry!  I'd rather be hearing Bob Pompei, Mike Prather or that Guy from Maine... and remember those out of sight ladies who put all of us in their dust... Donna Valentine, Gilly Slinn and Mary who eventually married Rob (who could sing pretty well on his own)... I know I've missed at least a dozen talents but I'd better get on with tacking up this lyric.

INTRO

Lord, keep me from sin... don't let me go there again...
'cause she looks like an Angel... but she loves like the devil...
so give me the strength... to never go where I've been.

INSTRUMENTAL
Just give me the power... to be the Man of the Hour...Don't need a Superman suit... to stay away from "Miss Cute"...I know "she don't give a hoot"... for a fool like me...No Siree!
INSTRUMENTAL
I think about her and grin... but I won't go there again...'cause she looks like an Angel... but she acts like a devil...I need the courage to think... about those needles and pins...No, it ain't what you think... but she'll get under your skin.
