New to the whole expirence

Hey there, I'm new not only to this site but pretty much any music-sharing community. I've been playing a handful of instruments the past 10-15 years, but the past couple years I've really narrowed my focus to acoustic guitar. I've always been an avid writer as well, so my goal has been to mesh those two spheres into something I can be proud of.

Not really sure how any of this works, but I'm always looking to meet similar musicians, hear criticms of my work, and give some on yours.

Welcome, Josh! Like any new neighborhood, you get out of it what you put in to it. Spend some time in the Open Mic, listening and commenting - folks will reciprocate. Into a specific genre? You can search by that, on the left side of the Open Mic page - then connect with folks that way.

Always try to participate inthe forums - the Writer's Room, Lyric Lounge - and get some great insights from the Nashville Insider's Foryum and the CreativeSongwriter Forum.

Like Eddie says - spend a little time looking round the place - listen to some music and read the forums to get an idea of all the topics we cover. Don't be afraid to dive right in and join in any discussion that interests you - and of course, the best way to get to know members here is to listen to their music and comment on them.
