Boom, Boom, (They have baby in hand)

© Gary Orphey

(Reggae)

V1

Man and woman not as smart as you think

He sees her on the beach and he gives her a wink

They walk toward the sunset in the hot sand

They cuddle to close and they have baby in hand

(Chorus)

Baby in hand, oh baby in hand

They cuddle to close and they have baby in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know they have baby in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know they have baby in hand

V2

They get married and become man and wife

Move in together and they start a new life

They still like to do what all lovers do

They cuddle to close and now babies are two

(Chorus)

Babies in hand, oh babies in hand

They cuddle to close and they have babies in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know they have babies in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know they have babies in hand

V3

Man and woman they love their children

They keep doing what they do, again and again

Late at night they lock the bedroom door

Next thing they know they have children four

(Chorus)

Babies in hand, babies in hand

They cuddle to close and they have babies in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know they have babies in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know they have babies in hand

V4

And so the story goes over and over again

The same old story of a woman and a man

Man sees a woman and he give her a wink

What’s going happen if they don’t stop and think?

(Chorus) 3x or whatever feels good.

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know have baby in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know have baby in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know have baby in hand

Boom, boom; — boom, boom

Next thing they know they have baby in hand

(Outro)

So be careful every woman and man

Or the next thing you know you have baby in hand

Hey Gwyneth thanks...It was a fun write. Didn't write it as a message song, mostly just for fun.

To late for me though, I have seven children. Hah! Where was the song when I needed it?

I hope tp see more lyrics posted soon on the site. It's like unto kind of skimpy right now.

Hey Charles,

Well all I can say is you are one lucky (and busy) man to be raising four boys. Congratulations for sure! I'm pleased you like it.

I can hear a reggae band playing it in my head.  Too bad I can't write music, I would do it for you.  LOL.  I like it a lot!

Thanks Pam I appreciate your nice comment.  It's always nice when someone can hear a song I write in their head. I'm quite a Reggae fan myself.
