.Posted in Unavoidable " Trap "
Sometimes love can be a trap you couldn't help but just step into? Is it inevitable? https://soundcloud.com/user-54415704/trap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7se6HnqGVc Verse1: This is a trap that I tried to escape, it's true ain't nothing worth to miss Another change you promised you'd make, again and again, what's real and what is fake Pre-chorus: A trap doesn't have to be like that, break my heart and have me crashed I always thought I'm gonna be your man, before you disappeared away A trap doesn't have to be like that, as I can still recall your name All around the place, all around the place, I won't be falling Chorus: Into this love, it too hard to take, I want freedom, get rid of this trap Hell no no no, where you go, shut the door and I'll move on This love, it too hard to take, I want freedom, get rid of this trap You'll know know, my existence won't be there anymore Verse2: This is a trap, I couldn't help but step into, it's you baby, changed my faith Rewind the play, I might still kiss your lips, again and again, what's real and what is fake Pre-chorus: A trap doesn't have to be like that, break my heart and have me crashed I always thought I'm gonna be your man, before you disappeared away A trap doesn't have to be like that, as I can still recall your name All around the place, all around the place, I won't be falling https://www.willykuomusic.com/original-music

That's an interesting technique. Usually, I have a title pop in my head. I'll get on the laptop or in my notes on my iphone, start and save a page with the title, and then I let it stew in my mind for awhile. When I'm ready to write and have a few ideas, I go online and do a search for lyrics with the same theme. I'll browse through them, get a few ideas, maybe a direction I want to go with it and then I'm off and running.I also have another way I write. I turn the radio on, listen to a few songs, and something usually pops in my head. Then I turn the radio down to where it is faintly audible to the point that you can hear a beat that's not really the beat in the song that's playing. And then I just write to the beat I hear. I've done probably 20 songs or more like that. And then last but not least, there is the "EUREKA!" factor. I'll be doing something or even sleeping and I'll sit straight up in bed and head for the laptop. I love those moments because I can usually crank the song out just as fast as I can type it.Of course after each song, I try to sing them to myself. Edit, write, rewrite and look to see where I can possibly insert an inner rhyme. If I get hung up on something more than a few minutes, I'll just save it to my hard drive and walk away for a couple of days.On other forums I've been on, someone will occasionally do an exercise where they give an idea for something to write about and everybody is supposed to roll with it. It's truly amazing how many different versions people can come up with for the same idea. It makes for good practice when you're trying to develop your writing.

Hi Bill,I read this article today online about writing techniques. And it had an interesting method. It said that every day, sit down and write about whatever you're feeling at that very moment. Happy, sad, hot, cold, lonely, hungry, etc. Then come up with a good title to uniquely describe that basic feeling. For example, if you are hungry, you might come up with a title called, "Wilting Away". And then write a song around that theme. It sounded like a pretty good technique.  I haven't tried it yet but since you had started this thread along similar lines, I thought it wouldn't hurt to mention it. Thanks for checking out my songs btw. I appreciate all of the input I can get. It's good to have an objective opinion. Best wishes!
