Answer: Notice a link on the right top area of the blog page called "Edit Title".  Click this link and make the changes.  This will change the blog title that you currently see in bold.  To save the changes click the Update button.   At any time you decide you want your member name as your blog title just select the Reset button.  You can change the title of your blog at any time as many times as you like just select the Update button to save the changes.

Question: How do I buy a gift for someone?

Question: How do I Download my Purchases?

Question: I Received a Gift Certificate.  How do I Use it?
Answer: You should have received an email letting you know that you have received a Gift Certificate.  You can click on the link and it will take you to gift certificate page.  OR   You can go to your Account Page under the Gift Certs link and see your gift certificate code. To use a Gift Certificate copy and paste the Gift Certificate code in the Gift Certificate field of the checkout page and hit the Apply button.   If your purchase amount exceeds the Gift Certificate amount you can pay the remaining balance with any of our supported payment methods. Answer: You should have been sent to the Paypal site to complete the transaction. I see a receipt for your previous order and it shows the Paypal amount as $00.00 so it didn't go through. Try it again and follow on through to the Paypal site to finish up..

Question: Receiving a "Credit Card Decline" Message.  Why is my card declined?
Answer: A credit card decline comes from your bank. Your bank does not provide us with specific information about the decline. You will need to contact your bank for the details. Usually, the expiration date, name, address or zip didn't match what is on file with your bank. Sometimes the card company places a hold on cards when concerned that recent purchases may be fraudulent (or out of norm for someone's spending habits), a payment is late, or the credit limit is reached.

Question: Receiving an "Invalid Account Number" Message.
Answer: This usually indicates a typo in your credit card number or security number. For Visa, MasterCard & Discover make sure you have entered all 16 digits without spaces or dashes. The security number is a three digit number located on the signature strip.

Question: Receiving an "Order Can Not be Processed" Message
Answer: This message appears when multiple credit card errors have occurred on your account. Please contact the Store Staff  (store@songramp.com or call us toll free at 1-866-220-2949) and confirm your username, Real Name and address. Once the info is confirmed, you will be able to make purchases.

Answer: You can add an event, tour date, concert, etc...to the community calendar.   Located at the top under the banner. Answer: Can get to be a LOT can't it? :-) Here's what ya do, Dean.. Click on the word "Forums" in the top navigation bar. That takes you to what I call the forum index page.. Look at the options above the forums and look for [my forum options] - click it.. Scroll down and you'll see where you can show/hide the various forums and check or uncheck the "Notify" box for email notification.. Also, when posting on a specific thread, be aware of the check box below the text entry box that says " Notify me when someone replies" It is checked by default.. You can fav yourself, people can fav you and not leave a comment, there are lots of ways for votes to add up to any specific number at any given time... Perhaps you're not aware of the fact that the "vote", or "fav" only stays on the "charts" for a week, but will stay on your homepage forever? I'm not sure what the concern here is... the whole vote/fav thing is a way to show respect to your peers, yes, individuals can abuse that and artificially pump their numbers up and tell offsite people how fantastic they are if they choose and point them here to look at the stats. Question: I posted a song "My Angel." I have offended a person.  The assumptions she makes about the female in the song are not at all the way I meant it to appear or what I get from the song. It's just a song. Did not mean to do so. Question: Hello, I am a studio owner and producer and I play multiple instruments. It was recently suggested to me by a friend that I consider recording songwriter demos, ala recording demos with bass, drums, guitars, keyboards, vocals, etc, for songwriters so that they have something to pitch to major artist or label. Answer: Hello Ryan, and welcome! First off, thanks for the considerate approach, much appreciated! There's a couple of ways to do it that I know of. One way is to put some music up on your page, original mind you, no covers, then let people listen to them and get familiar with you. Listen to others work, get involved in the community, make some friends, as you go, let people know you provide a service. We also sell "Banners" that run across the top of our page for people to see. Lots of competition for that here, lots of people getting lots of top shelf demos done in Nashville and other places... Answer: We're trying to fix it Ott. We're well aware of it I assure you. If you poke around the site you'll see plenty of threads about it. The prob seems to be an issue created when one copys text from Microsoft Word to paste into our text boxes. There is some HTML that WORD has in it's doc formatting that is not stripped away by our editor. We're actively working on a fix. In the mean time there are several workarounds. The most frequently used is when posting a song, open the accessory "NotePad" and paste your Word Doc into NotePad. The copy from there into the SongRamp text box. This doesn't add the spacing. The problem with this is most folks don't see this as a "major flaw" are aren't interested in doing the work around for the text on their song pages.. Answer: Hello Barry!   Go to their song on open mic and in the column "listen/buy" you will see a arrow pointing down, that is the download button. If there isn't a button, it means the member didn't click that option when they uploaded the song, in which case, get them to send it to you.   :-)   Rob

Question: I purchased 7 songs  and can only get 2 to download properly.. now it gives me a message that I have exceeded the limit for  downloads.. please help... order #1982.. I open them with ITunes the songs that work:  Breathe You All In  Samantha Every Heart's Desire  
Answer: You will not be able to open them directly with iTunes at first.  This is due to the download protection mechanisms we have in place to protect the artists.  You will need to save them to a folder on your hard drive.  On a PC this is done by using the right mouse button on the download link & selecting "Save to disk...".  Create a folder on your desktop & save the songs into that.  Once this is done, you can play locally via iTunes, and things will work fine. Question: How are my songs protected?
Answer: Songramp has it's own TOS- Terms of Service that members agree to when they join. If anyone violates it there are steps taken to make it right. Another form of protection is you also have the right to allow your songs to be downloaded or not. The choice is yours. Hope this helps.

Answer: That blank photo you have is actually your "avatar". Login and go to MY RAMP, and the to MY PROFILE. Scroll down to the avatar field, and you can upload a picture, that will be present in the area you are speaking of.

Question:  I've seen forums where people link to their songs on this site, but i can't figure out how to do the link...

Question: Steve: Your system is somehow being gamed. I went to the Songramp home page of Scott Word, and noted that his tune "Back to You" has achieved the stunning total of 8,274 plays!!!. Which puts him at #3 on your most played list for the last 7 days. somehow, he keeps getting listens to a degree that the rest of us could only pray for.  Nobody else on your site comes remotely close to this number of plays. Especially for a song that was posted in'04.  He somehow links anyone who listens to this tune to songramp, and posts up more and more listens. Answer: Hello Ott. It's not really being gamed when you realize how the system works. The number of plays shows...the number of plays! There is nothing to stop anyone from sitting there and playing their own song over and over in the mistaken belief that they will realize some special award for the most listens. They won't, and as far as I'm concerned, they are just showing their over zealous desire to appear important. The truth is, the music will speak for itself. :-) Rob

Question: Rob: I would never ever "fav" myself. It's unethical, period. I would also never set up some program to get multiple plays on this site. What irritated me  was to see ScottWord have 8,274 "plays" on your site, when you have to know that those "plays" could not possibly be by members of Songramp. Answer: Well, I see what you are saying, but I disagree that it makes Songramp less then it is. The system is set up to allow you to steer people from off site to showcase your stuff. For years I had nothing to do with the songramp community and used my page to send producers and industry people to peruse my music for things they might be looking for. I had quite a few listens, none of which were songramp members, that wasn't my intent, nor was I in any way trying to manipulate the system. Now I'm not familiar with the member you've researched, but he is allowed to have as many offsite people visit his page and listen as they are inclined to do. It's even possible, as in my case, that they are legit listens from a fan base or some other purpose, but in the end, it doesn't really matter. I think possibly the words we are using such as "vote", "fav", "charts" have made you think that they have some value other then they actually have. Question: Hi Guys: I have noticed that many times, when a song is selected for listening, the little pop-up player appears but the slider-bars for adjusting the volume and for indicating the duration of the song are "below the horizon" and cannot be adjusted. I even attempted to "resize" the box but that feature does not work, even though the symbol is depicted in the lower RH corner of the box/window. What gives? Is this a "glitch" or is there a workaround? Thanks. I hope this helps to make this great site even better. Dave
Answer: Glitch.. It's been reported and is being looked into.. Workaround seems to be, close the player then reopen. Sometimes takes a few close/reopens..

Answer: In my case, I use Microsoft Word, I call up the Word Doc, highlight and copy the lyrics/text, open Notepad (in windows/start/accessories) and paste it into Notepad, then, Copy from there and paste into the SongRamp Text Editor. Answer: Hi Ken.  I logged into your account and everything looks okay.  Try this:  *  Log into SongRamp *  Click on the My Ramp link at the top of the page *  Click on "My Songs" *  Click the 'edit' link on your song *  Make your changes and check the "Agree to Terms" box *  Click "Save" button That ought to do it.  The link you'll find on your homepage is currently broken; we're working on fixing it, as it's a site wide problem, but for now, you should be able to edit your songs from the My Ramp area. Answer: The error you're getting is largely due to your card being Canadian, with a Canadian address.  Canadian credit card companies don't have an effective way to indicate the address is Canadian, so when the credit card is verifying the address, it looks at it as a U.S. address, which will cause an address failure each time.  Please contact me at admin@songramp.com ASAP and I can walk you through an alternative method. Question: Hi; I hope this question isnt too silly Recently I re recorded a song I posted 6 months ago......(just feeling I have gotten a little better at the recording process) I don't want to repost it for votes or anything just update it on my personal homepage.....I did it a couple of times a few months back and from time to time fixing volume errors I didn't hear originally on a couple of songs. My problem is I am trying to update my song called 'Sweet by and by' when I attach the file (which isnt overly large or anything 5.9MB) it looks like it is loading the file but afterwards the song isn't there.....the original is still there. I have refreshed the page and all that as a matter of fact I have tried now 4 times or so over the last 7 to 10 days....no luck...I am at a loss. Question: Greetings. It used to be I could copy and paste lyrics with no problems. Then something changed....now I get a message saying that procedure cannot be done due to the browser I am using. The message concludes by suggesting the use of keyboard shortcuts. It would be so much easier to be able to copy/paste. What are those shortcuts? And/or, what browser is supported?
Answer: Hi David, yeah the editor box got switched out in the site redesign.. That's what's doing it.. And it seems to be FireFox with the problem - That's what I use and get that too.. Short cuts for Windows (don't know Mac but can find out for ya) are: Copy = Ctrl + c (hold down the control key (Ctrl) and press c) Paste = Ctrl + v (hold down Ctrl and press v) Cut = Crtl + x (hold down Ctrl and press x) Firefox, Explorer, Chrome the Linux browser, all should work - though each one seems to have it's own set of quirks.. Another thing we've found is when pasting into the editor box directly from a Word Doc - our editor adds a line space between each line.. That's a PITA for many.. The workaround is to copy from Word as usual, then open Microsofts "Notepad" - it's under Accessories in the Start menu.. It's like a poor mans Word.. So copy from Word, paste into Notepad, copy from Notepad and paste (Ctrl+v) into the SongRamp editor.. Email to either admin@songramp.com or steve @songramp.com ... [more]

Question: Why do I have to scroll from side to side on the site?
Answer: This site is configured for computer resolution at 1024x768 which is considered standard.  If your Monitor is set to something larger than this like 800x600 - it would cause you to have to scroll from side to side.   You can change your monitor settings by Right Clicking on the desktop and Selecting Properties,  Selecting Settings and changing to the Monitor Resolution to 1024x768.  Click the Apply button to make the changes.  If you still have to scroll from side to side, you may have something open in your browser such as your favorites or search that cause your browser size to be smaller.  Simply close those windows.     Might want to check your browser settings....Those using internet explorer can go to tools/internet options/accessability and check ignore web site font settings.

Answer: Hi Annie - Click "edit" on the songs page and change the "Priority" number - the lower the number the higher on the list it goes.. The higher the number the lower down the list it goes.. 1 will be on top of a 99, for example.. If you have multiple songs with the same number then the most recently uploaded one goes on top.. Answer: You can click on any members username and it will take you to the member's homepage.  If you are trying to locate an artist/member you can search for their name in the search area located on the sidebar under Features.  Keep in mind unless you know the member username it might be difficult to find with their Real Name.  Some members do not display their real names.

Question: How do I get to My Homepage?
Answer: You access your homepage by clicking on the "My Homepage" link on the sidebar under the Member Features. 

Question: How do I upload a photo for my homepage, or edit an existing photo?
Answer: Adding a photo to my homepage Make sure your photo is a .jpg or .gif image and the photo size is at least 100x100 pixels Go to My Ramp and then My hompepage. Click the Page link on your homepage. Click the Browse button and find the file on your hard drive. Click the Save Homepage button. Editing a photo on my homepage You go through the same steps as above and the new photo will overwrite the old one.  But, in order to see your new photo on your homepage.   You may need to hold the Shift key & click the Refresh button in your web browser; that should display the new photo. We have  a free membership, which is good for like 25 mb of storage, if I remember correctly, but I highly reccomend the "Basic" memebership at the minimum, and there are two other higher tiers if you need them.. Question: How do I edit/delete a photo in the photo gallery?
Answer: To Edit:  At this time, you can only edit the genre, title and wording under the image but not the image itself.  Go to My Gallery, Click on edit the image link located on the main image page under the image to make changes.  Select the Save changes button to save changes. To Delete:  Go to My Gallery, Click on delete the image link located on the main image page under the photo.  Once you delete an image there is no way to bring it back and you lose all the comments associated with that image.

Answer: My PhotosWhen you upload images for public viewing... they display in the Photo Gallery.  You do not have a private photo gallery.   Your Photo Gallery is all of the photos that you have uploaded to the site.  This helps you keep them organized and to know what you have uploaded.  The My Photos link is located on the sidebar under Member Features and within the Photo Gallery top links.   Select the link VIew My Photos. My FavoritesThis lists your favorite albums.  You can subscribe to an album and it will automatically email you when someone uploads a new photo to that album.  This is organized in your Favorites area.  Select the link View My Favorites.

Question: Keep seeing the old one.
Answer: You may need to hold the Shift key & click the Refresh button in your web browser; that should display the new image. You can also try clearing your cache from your browser. You may also need to delete your browser's internet cache. Question: I have a song on my profile  that I need to make a copy of. How can I download the song, so I can get to it? My last computer crashed and I had no back-up of my files. I am trying to get a copy of all my songs. Can you tell what I need to do, to be able to download them?

Answer: There is a 20 limit character to the Location Box on the Profile page.  When we moved the information over we took whatever was there, and inserted it in the box.  Everyone has a 20 limit character.  The intent is for members to input there location so other members can see where others are from.

Answer: My Profile is a page that stores your personal information.   This information is private to the community except for the areas of location and avatar which are optional to complete.  This page allows you to edit your information so changeds to your password, email, address, avatar, etc would be completed on My Profile page.    The My Profile page is found on your homepage by clicking MY RAMP and then MY PROFILE. 

Question: Can I decide what music to sell and what music to provide for free?
Answer: Yes.  When you select the Upload link located in the Open Mic Upload page.   The song will automatically stream, but you decide whether to sell or provide a free download.  You must choose one you can not do both.  The Open Mic will display all music those for sale and free downloads.  The Store (Shop Link) will display only those songs for sell.    

Question: Can I have my earnings sent to a charity organization?
Answer: We will send your payments to you and you can send them to any one or organization that you choose.

Question: If I have a song for sale in the open mic, can i change my mind and make it a free download?
Answer: You can't.  Once you decide to sell that song in the store - you can edit the song, image, title, and description area but you can't change back and forth.  You can however, delete that song in open mic. 

Question: How will I be paid?
Answer: When you fill out the vendor signup form, you select how you want to be paid via check or paypal.   You also select your minimum payment with $10 being the minimum amount you must make in order for a payment to be made.  If you have made over the minimum amount then you will be paid by the 10th of every month.    Checks are sent around the 7th of each month for the previous month's sales. So, if you sold at least $10 in January, a check will be sent to you on February 7th.

Question: How do I delete a song in the store?
Answer: You can not delete a song in the store.  You must email store@songramp.com and let them know that you want to delete a song.  The reason for this is that once you put a song in the store, you may have buyers and they will need to be able to download the song. 

Question: How do I keep up with the sales of my songs?
Answer: Your Vendor Control Room has all the information regarding music you are selling.

Question: How much can I sell my songs?
Answer: SongRamp sells all individual download songs for $1.00.  This is split 70% vendor (you) and 30% SongRamp.  At this time, we do not sell albums for download.  Selling CDs where they are shipped to the customer, you decide what the price will be.  All splits with SongRamp are 70% to the vendor (you) and 30% to SongRamp.

Question: Hi folks: I decided to check the status of my songs on the various open mike charts. At the top of the page, there is an explanatory statement indicating that the stats are for the last seven days of activity. Does this mean that after seven days, a song drops off the chart? I suspect that is not the case because I see a number of songs that have been listed for significantly longer periods. Before I was a "paying" member, I understood that beggars cannot be choosers... but I did cough up some change. Did I not send enough?... (sobbing plaintively) One of my songs got 40 listens since it was posted on Jan. 7, 2009 and it was nowhere to be found on the "songs by number of listens" chart. Answer:   Open Mic posts/reposts: Regarding posting-reposting of the same song. If a member posts a song on the Open Mic then wants to repost a newer (or for that matter older) version of the song, then EDIT should be used. Simply click on Edit from Open Mic or your homepage and browse to the targeted version to upload. Your current comments and stats remain untouched. You are certainly free to advise people of the newer mix in the body of the text on the song’s page. There is no waiting period when using EDIT because the song doesn't post as the most recent Open Mic offering. The song won't change its position on the open mic page at all in other words.  Songs should not be posted repeatedly. If it is necessary to repost a previously posted song and the EDIT function cannot be used, reposts of the same song should be limited to TWO with a 90 day waiting period between each reposting.  It is okay for co-writers to have the same song posted on each... Answer: Hi James, the charts reflect the previous weeks worth of information. In other words a song posted today and receives 10 favors today. Then one week from today those 10 favors "age off" the charts.. So the charts reflect a "rolling" weeks worth of data. The SongPage on your homepage reflects the cumulative total since the song was posted..

Answer: No worries, Ken! Firstly, Welcome!! 1) You can see Dlete but you can see it on others posts because, well, we want ya to be able to delete your own posts but not anyone elses.. Same works for everybody - they can delete their own but not yours.. You'll also see DNLD next you your songs even though you didn't make the song freely downloadable.. Same deal - unless you specifically check the download box when you upload a tune, no one else will see the DNLD link.. 2) Chat - We're having some issues beling looked at with our chat module.. You'll see "Chat" over on the left hand sidebar under "Features" and you'll see "Java Chat" under "Extras".. The Java Chat is the one to use.. But like I said, it's got some issues.. Question: My songs upload fine, but on the OpenMic page, the options for users include "hifi, lofi, dwnld, edit, delete", while others' songs don't include the 'download' option if they don't want it to.  On my homepage, there is a box that says "allow other members to download your material", and that box is unchecked.  I've redone it a couple of times, but the download option is still there on the OpenMic page. Answer: No, just edit only the areas you need and save it.  It will retain all the other information. 

Question: When I select to not have my song downloadable, why do i still see a download link?
Answer: Only you can see the download link. This is to give you the ability to access the song remotely if need be, or in case you've accidentally deleted the song from your local drive. No one else can see the download link, but you always will be able to see it, since you are the owner/poster of the song.

Question:  I was wondering about how to download a song (if the author allows free downloads). I clicked on the down pointing arrow and it played the song, but I did not see anywhere that it had downloaded anything.
Answer: If using FireFox, I left click on the down arrow and a window opens asking if I want to play it through my default device (Windows Media Player) or if I want to Save File - I select Save File and stick it into a folder on my desktop.. If using Explorer, I right click the down arrow and select Save Target As and then choose the destination for it to go.. In either case you need to rename the song - when the songs are uploaded to us, converted to our player and stored on the Amazon S3 server it creates it's own silly filename like: SampleMusic25682662 - I just rename it "Song Name.mp3" That help? Question: How do I Add/Remove a song to My Favorites Playlist?
Answer: When you listen to a song in the Open Mic and really like it.  You can click on the add favorite link and it will add it to your My Favorites Playlist and also to your homepage.    If you click on the remove favorite, then it will remove it from your playlist and homepage.  The Add Favorites is located in the Open Mic listing of songs, on the song main page to the right above the details, and on the player when you play the song. This feature requires a Basic, Pro, or Premium membership.

Question: How do I change a song that I have for sale to a free download?
Answer: You can't.  Once you decide to sell that song in the store - you can edit the song, image, title, and description area but you can't change back and forth.  You can however, delete that song in open mic. 

Question: How do I control the Volume on the SongRamp Player?
Answer: There is a bar located under the play and stop buttons.  Just move that bar to the left to decrease the volume and to the right to increase the volume.

Question: How do I edit my song in the Open Mic?
Answer: Simple EditGo to your song either by clicking on the My Songs link or searching within the Open Mic.  Click the title of your Song, WIthin the song page on the right side of the page above the details is an edit and delete link.   Click on the Edit link.   You can edit any part of this song (Genre, Title, Song Upload, Notes, or Accepting Reviews).  Make sure to click the Upload button to save your changes.   Editing your Songs is automatic and will not delete your reviews.  Open Mic posts/reposts: Regarding posting-reposting of the same song. If a member posts a song on the Open Mic then wants to repost a newer (or for that matter older) version of the song, then EDIT should be used. Simply click on Edit from Open Mic or your homepage and browse to the targeted version to upload. Your current comments and stats remain untouched. Question: How do I find a song or artist/member?
Answer: You can click on the Search link on the sidebar under Features and enter the song title or member name.  You can also search within the Open Mic for songs and artists.  

Question: How do I upload my Avatar or edit an existing one?
Answer: Add an Avatar Go to My Profile page, scroll down to "Avatar".  Select browse and upload an image from your computer.   The image size should be 100x100 pixels and less than 25kb.  Click the "Save Changes" button to save the information.  This will automatically put your image in the forums and open mic area if you have posted there.  To Edit your Avatar and Add a new one: You would follow the same steps above and this will replace your avatar.    If your image is still displaying your old Avatar.....You may need to hold the Shift key & click the Refresh button in your web browser; that should display the new image. You can also try clearing your cache from your browser. The My Profile page is found on the sidebar under Member Features: My Profile.  Avatar is a graphical image of a user intended to make the computing or network environment a more friendly place.

Question: How do I get my picture on my songs page in the Open Mic?
Answer: This is called your avatar and is located on My Profile page. 

Question: How do I enable downloads from my homepage Or even listening room?
Answer: If the uploading member selects for others to download, then you will see a dnld link in the listen area in the open mic.  If you do not see a dnld link that means that uploading member does not want others to dnld their songs.  You will always be able to see your own downloads so you have access to your music if needed, but if you did not make dnlds available then no other members can see that link.. only you. 

Question: How do I get to My Songs? Public/Private
Answer: Public Songs Click on the My Songs on the sidebar under Member features.  These are the songs that are uploaded to the open mic. Private Songs Click on the My Listening Room on the sidebar under Member Features.  These songs are private to only you and your invited guests.

Question: How do I listen to a Song in the Open Mic?
Answer: Go to Open Mic located at the top of the site under the banner.  This will take you to the songs that are newly uploaded.  Click on the hifi or lofi link.    You can also go to any member's homepage and listen to their music from there.

Question: How do I listen to music?
Answer: Anywhere you see a play link you should be able to listen to music by clicking on it.  Most of the music is in the Open Mic area located at the top of the site under the banner.  Click the Open Mic link.  Brings up the What's New listing for the day.  You can click the title and play within the main page, or click the hifi or lofi links direclty on the listing page.  Depending on your internet connection would depend on which link...the hifi or lofi to select.  Try it out.  Enjoy!

Answer: Members have the ability to decide if they want a review on a song or not.    If there is not an option on the main song page to leave a review that member did not want reviews.  Go to the Open Mic link located at the top under the banner.  You click on the title of the song you want to leave a review and scroll down.  There you can post your review in the box.  Click the Submit button and this saves your Review.  You will be able to view it once submitted.  You have the ability to delete your own review if you choose to. Only you can see your delete button.   Once you have deleted your review, you can then post another review. One review per song. A couple workarounds.. * Paste in as usual, put the cursor at the end of the first line and hit Delete, then hold down SHIFT and press enter - repeat for each line that you want to remove the space from or * Paste the lyric into microsoft's NotePad first, then copy and paste into the text box editor Wonky, I know - We're working on it.. Answer: Hi Ed.. There's are many free ones out there.. Goggle "CD to MP3 converter" or sometimes they're called "CD Rippers"... Windows Media Player v9 has a ripper program in it too... You can get some more info from THIS link here at SongRamp.. I use a free program called CDEX - a search will find it.. See this: Details: Uploaded: Jun 29, 2011 Genre: Country (Traditional) hifi Size: 21 KB lofi Size: 1 KB Well, an MP3 file would be about 1000 KB for each minutes worth of song.. So a 5 minute song would have a HiFi size is about 5000 KB.. The above tells me the file you selected to upload does not end the filename with .mp3  Musta uploaded the wrong file.. Click EDIT and use the Browse button to find the correct MP3 file, select it, agree to the Terms and upload it again.. The rest of the stuff, Title, lyrics etc won't need re-doing.. Question: I uploaded a song titled, Memories Become Treasures of Gold.  When trying to listen to it in the Open Mic room, there is no sound. Can you help?
Answer: Hi Rudy, Yeah, look at the file size - it's 27KB.. That's a very little file.. A typical MP3 is about 1MB for each minute in length.. 3-5MB as opposed to 27KB.. Remember Open Mic will accept only MP3's that are uploaded from your computer.. Make sure the file is an MP3.. You can click "Edit" and browse to the MP3 and re-upload it.. Question: I clicked on DNLD next to my song, and I couldn't see anything happen.  By the way, I chose to not let members download my song.  Why does it offer DNLD?
Answer: Dave you're the only one who can see the DNLD button, no one else can. So if you don't want folks to download ...click it just like you did and they won't be able to. Hope that helps.

Question: I've pretty much figured out how to tweak my home page....I can't figure out how to link a picture with a song.....there is an empty photo box there, but I can't seem to figure out how to get a photo in it. Help!
Answer: Good Morning, The Songpage photo uses your "Avatar" and you upload your "Avatar" on your Profile page. My Ramp/My Profile. And they have to be small pictures - 100 X 130 pixels or less. You'll need to choose a photograph to use then with a photo editing program find the "Resize" function. Once it's resized go to My Profile and upload the Avatar. This will now be displayed next to all your songs AND next to any posts you make in our forums.

Question: Every time I try to cut and paste lyrics for my song on Open Mic, spaces get inserted between all my lines, and my text is centered, instead of left justified.  How do I eliminate the space and get the text left justified?

Question: I'm quite certain now that I am trying to upload an mp3 file now and not a wav file but it's still not working. Is it because it is an i-tunes file? I know sometimes i-tunes won't play on other types of mp3 systems. - Mary Wheelan
Answer: Hi Mary! It's definitely not iTunes, all of my stuff is done in iTunes as well.. One possible thing that has happened with some folks in the past is that they don't wait long enough for the mp3 to fully upload to the Songramp server. They will start doing something else on the computer not realizing that that interrupts the upload and corrupts the file... Is that a possibility? Rob
