Here is a different version of "Playing Boxes". I can't decide which one is better so if anyone heard the previous one or would be so kind to listen on soundclick and let me know which one is better :)

Petra composed her beautiful lyrics and created amazing vocals to my new piano composition "Let's Be Friends".

I iniitially submitted it on FAWM as apart of 4 chords challenge and then asked on FAWM forum whether anyone would be interested in collaborating with me on this composition. Petra replied and here is our new song :)

"Playing Boxes/Let's All Be Friends"
Lyrics byPetra 777 (XEW), Music by Nadia Cripps
© 2010

Don't tell me you didn't know
Even I knew you were feeling low
Just let go & take my hand
You know I've always been here for you

We've been playing boxes
These games they never did us any good
We've been playing boxes
I'm sorry I never understood

But I may not be here my friend
If you
Walk away
Away again

I know you haven't been strong enough
But there's
So much more that needs to be said

I've waiting for you to see
That there's another side to the story

So from now until the end
Can we
Just be
Friends?

quite a different approach, for clarity's sake I like this version better, but there's something about the original that digs deeper...

Never have heard the first version.. I can tell you, I sure like this one. Power chords and some soft tickeling along with your strong vocals pull this togeather. Sweet words as well. Thanks, Russ.

I like this version only because the vocals are clear. Both are very good.

This is very nice you two! I listened to the first version again and I think this one is more intimate and close and conveys the feeling of the story very well. Lovely.

Listened to the soundclick version, but that mix IMO has a bit too much reverb. So as Rusty remarked, this one is more intimate. It's a very sweet song, that could do with some strings dropping in at the 2nd verse to enrich the flavor of the song.
