I was driving down to Kyle's house for a writing session when I became aware of the fact that I was about to die in a few seconds time. Well, not quite, but nearly. However, no thanks are due to the loony who attempted a near impossible overtaking manouevre which would have resulted in carnage if other drivers hadn't practically stood their vehicles on their noses as they braked for dear life. I'm not sure what the exact U.S. equivalent is to "TOSSER". But, for those of you not familiar with the term, let me just say that it's not a compliment.
I arrived at Kyle's and, after I'd changed into a fresh pair of trousers, we started work on this addition to the canon of driving songs.

Kyle does the lead vocal, bass, guitars and drums; I do the keyboards and backing vocals. Ideally, we'd have liked to get Marc Bolan to play some lead guitar but that proved to be unfeasible.

CAM 2007-11-15	my biggest gripe is the crazy folks who talk on cell phones while driving: ARRRRGGH! This is a very cool and savvy song, got a great beat and the mix is really fine. This is a song that needed to be written. Good on ye lads! CAM

MattAndTheWindmills 2007-11-15	The problem with your planet is that you have seat-belts, airbags etc. On my planet, safety features are illegal. It is mandatory for each car to have a sharp spike, tipped with curare, which protrudes from the steering wheel and points directly at the driver's heart. Although this measure was controversial when it was first introduced, there have been no car crashes for over forty years now. Matt.

pianoman3 2007-11-16	What a great start to my day! A new MATW gem to sparkle through the frosty fog here. NOT a good day to drive, even in England where we have the best drivers.[wink]. I drive a lot in the U.S. and some drivers appear to trap their middle finger in the steering wheel, causing them to drive like TO55ER5. When I point that out to them they always show me their injured finger as if by way of an explanation!!!! Back to the song.... I am truely in awe at the imaginative writing and the excellent quality you guys always produce. Love the lyrical idea, those great lines, the whole package is thoroughly professional and a great pleasure to listen (or drive) to. JAHowarth
