From the first 2 seconds i was hooked. Had a big grin and enjoyed the listen. Well done Jeff! Hats off to Bobby for bringing this alive, Jeff you must be delighted with the outcome. If Ollie played the piano... that's kinda cheatin' .....don't you think! I think I have imagine this many times as a kid.I think I even seen a cartoon where an octopus was playing a lot of instruments.I'm wondering if it wasn't one of my old time favorites Beanie & Cecil.Could of been.Fun song the kids and parents are going to love it up.Would acturally make a great cartoon.Loving it right up.loved the sound effects.(;YOU DA MAN;)Always enjoy what comes out of Bobbys Gararge as well.Thanks for the invite and checking out my new song.Voting.Your Songramp Bro.~(;Yrral Mallik;)

Jeff and Bobby...This is wonderful!!! I love all of the little break ins with the instruments and sound effects........The rousing ovation was great!!!! and I Love this line..."The Tina Got Canned"!!!!!You've got a great imagination and Bobby really brought this to life!!! Listening to this tune, I can't help thinking of one of Ringo Starr's underwater tunes ("Yellow Submarine" or "Octopus' Garden"). Really digging all the synth voices used in here...particularly the synth-enhanced bg vocals. Great lyrics as always, Jeff -- really great performance & mix, Bobby!! Cool collab!!! -dt-

oh yea. some tentacle rock. reminds me of why I'd like to be underneath the sea in an 'Olivers' garden!! very creative. this is ready for distro to the mini-masses. educational, entertaining, creative and inspiring. major dig it. Schools need this kind of stuff. seriously.

First off the singer reminds me of Ray Davies (The Kinks). Excellent singing, instrumentation, melody and lyrics. Very good song, clever pedagogical technique by identifying the instruments and then featuring them solo!

I think it's great that you do this stuff for kids. nice lyrics and the ones you did for alex is really good. he's good at putting lyrics to music. but they sound like they were meant to be.

Great work on this one Jeff! Oliver Oscar Octapus is a very catchy name for a children's character. I'm not sure if you have the desire or the energy, but if I were you I would consider exploring the idea of creating a live puppet show for kids out of Oliver. I even think it's cool that Oliver's initials are "Oh Oh Oh"...but that's just me. |
