Soon they were inviting other musical friends, Craig Walton (bass), Bruce Wayne (drums), and Mark Ramsey (keys), to round out a band that could be best described as "R & B laced folk-rock with various spices poured over it." The music is heavily harmonic, often classic-groove saturated, ranging from lily tender to Latin percussion, jazzy smooth to asphalt rough. It's always interesting and sometimes even quirky. The band's lyrics seem to reflect their own spiritual journey, and a heartfelt passion to be authentic in that. The band has also enjoyed the help on this CD and in the live shows from many other musicians, especially Forest Ritchie (acoustic, vocals), Elaine Anderson (violin, viola, mandolin, and acoustic) and Lefoy Rodriquez (accordian). The action they put to these words is not just the fun and infectious music, written, sung and played with skill and feeling. "Wear That Shoe" is also dedicating a portion of the sales of this CD to benefit an aid organization called "For Love of a Child" from San Antonio, which serves in Mexico to bring education, life skills, spiritual support and much needed practical help to young children in high risk areas.
