Welcome to my page. All my songs are a reflection on life, experiences and my imagination I have been a musician in some way, or other, since the age of 15. I don't tend to write in one particular style and I've been writing on and off all my life and it's only recently (with age and experiences) that I feel I'm getting it right. I hope you agree.
I used to be based near Manchester, England but I moved to live in Cleveland Ga, USA in 2008. I'm hoping that living here will inspire new songs with new experiences but most of my songs seem to appear from a place unknown to me. Thanks for listening, I welcome your feedback ~ John
ABOUT:
I'm a self taught keyboard player and I can find my way around a guitar. I played bass guitar in my first group, the Meteors, at the age of 15 back in the sixties when it was all "happenin'. I've played in many bands over the years incl. sessions for TV and radio commercials etc and I played all over Europe in a famous UK glam-rock band in the 70's. I used to play in a private function band at weekends, playing covers, but I didn't like the musical prostitution...lol. I write songs when the mood takes me. I currently record my songs on Cubase Studio 5, using my Korg Triton synth and added VST sounds for all the instruments. For the past 5 years, I've been doing my own vocals, which is my weakest point, although I feel I'm learning and getting better with each song. Anyway, it's all about the song on here even though I enjoy all the recording, arranging, playing, producing and even singing! It is my main hobby and I don't take it too seriously, although it would be nice to have a hit but I simply enjoy having people hear my efforts.
